Summer programs are completed, and with the exception of a Alpha Member's weekend and a Working for Wolves, fall will be very quiet. Grizzer has begun to howl for Oscar when he leaves the site, and Oscar is trying to howl with the pack, but being a dog, he barks with intermittent squeaky howls. I didn't get his howling on camera, I heard it from the lab but by the time the camera was in hand, he was back to barking. Usually barking is a warning or alarm, but they seem to tolerate this juvenile communication from their newest pack member.

  • It's so great that they acceptedhim :)

  • Again, it is SO GREAT to see Griz on the web cams again! Hope you get the ones in the exhibit area fixed soon. All the wolves look good and so does Oscar. Take care and keep us posted on any new developments!

  • I just love how the wolves have accepted Oscar as part of the pack and his barking/howling...cause in the wild wolves would never do that...

  • I really like that you guys got Oscar. I love seeing wolves reactions to other animals. Awesome video :)
