Leyelet Hob

This performance is something of an experiment. It's my first foray into Arabic repertoire, vs. the Turkish/Greek/Armenian music I usually use. I've incorporated a few elements of Arabic style, but this piece is still based on my training in American Traditional belly dance.

The song is the overture to "Leyelet Hob" by Mohammed Abdul Wahab, performed by Oum Koulthoum.

You have a very cute presence - lovely. I think you could benefit from a taller, more confident posture: lift the chin and pull it back, lift the chest, even use a headband to pull your hair out of your face. You are a good performer who should shine more on the stage. I hope these tips can help.
