@juliehanna1975 Please tell your uncle that I sincerely apologize for all the strife he endured in that point of time. At thought of it, I feel that he probably had arrived to the point of having a nervous breakdown. Alot of us were infactuated with him under the socalled notion of shared true loveitis with him. That was a ton of pressure on him with no private time for himself friends or family. I wish him well, and family too.

@moonspinner55 My assumption back then was because he got "burned out " from all the fame and business, plus trying to work and getting your clothes torn off and being chased by loads of fans. Also no private relaxing life. Hope things are fine for him now after all these years.

I'm fifty almost 51 now, I was 16 back then and in love with Ian. We all thought they were meant for us. He is immortal in film and still babyfaced gorgeous, brings back memories eh? Anywy, I hope that he is well and happy with his life as I am with my husband and family too. Yes I still have my Roller gear after all these years and will always be a fan forever. Would like to stay in occasional touch with all of you.

@juliehanna1975 . well tell you uncle, I swear he was staring ME in the eyes when he sang this song at a concert Helsinki Finland(I think I was about 12 years old then... he was my first "love"....this is probably the 1st time I listened to this song as an adult and it's still beautiful and Ian is just as gorgeous as I remember him....(now I bet even more handsome)

DEDICATION was their best album and Ian & Les's voices sounded great together. Does anyone know why Ian left/was forced out? IT'S A GAME was also a fine record, but DEDICATION had something special!!

@xenamtchb If you buy on Ebay, check it out for Rosetta Stone records or CD's. I sometimes see them on there. Or maybe it was Ian Mitchell Band?? Ian used to sell the RS stuff on CD on his website but his website has disappeared:(

Ian Mitchell marked the demise of the Bay City Rollers in the UK the band was never the same again,THE bay city rollers WERE alan eric woody derek and Les as any true baycity roller fan would agree TRUE fans were heartbroken on April 2nd 1976 when we learned Alan had left the band,,,,,,,,,,,there days were numbered NO ONE COULD EVER REPLACE THE CHARMING TALENTED ALAN LONGMUIR LONG LIVE THE MEMORIES OF THE BAY CITY ROLLERS keep on rollin and dont let the music die xx

@katyantbcr To me, Ian marked the beginning of the BCR. I liked them before that, ever since they were shown on the Howard Cosell show in Sept 75 here but not nearly like I liked them after Ian joined. Never cared much for Alan and when Ian came in it only made them more popular here in the US. I was heartbroken when Ian quit, but grew to like Pat quickly only to be heartbroken again when they got rid of him. So then they were 4 & I still followed them because of Les & Woody.

He was cute, but In the UK he was a bit fly-by-night [same as the other one Pat???] & plus we all still loved the gorgeous Alan Longmuir..

@thepinktent For me personally, I loved Ian. The Rollers were perfect with him. When he left, I was heartbroken, but soon grew to love Pat too. I never did care for Alan much.
