David Gergen CNN TV commentator cannot answer simple questions. He does not know if the government should protect peaceful citizens against people that want to use force to take their money. He does not know if there are people in our society that want to use force to take other people's money. Apparently, he can't even understand the questions much less answer them. He is clear about one thing, he doesn't like the questions and he wants to leave.

Why so much hate for Gergen? lol..he's probably slightly liberal, but he's usually very fair with his analysis of politics and campaigns.
Second, those questions were horrible questions and they were horribly phrased. I'm with him, It was difficult to understand exactly what was being asked. And I agree with some of the other posters here; you can't equate tax collection for govt services with criminals taking your money for personal gain. It's not the same thing

also, what i am saying is that having a problem with a slew of issues under the umbrella of "redistributive taxes" is a silly way of doing things. the services for which these taxes are being used needs to be followed up on an issue by issue basis. should foreign aid be ended? yes, in my view it should. it doesn't help americans. should medicaid and food stamps be cut? no, because that undermines american wellbeing and jeopardizes our future.

yes, i listened to the interview (among others) and all you seem to do is keep asking the same question, in the same way, and act all annoyed when people call it out as being a ridiculous question (which it is). you never ask the question straight out...instead, you try to set up a false premise and equate two questions. that is what annoys me the most about your 'interview' style.
