It's a little sterile, compared to the lush fuzz guitar of the original. I was really hoping the Ventures would crank this out and improvise on the riff, which sometimes they do beautifully in their other songs.

I traded my Gretch beginners hollow-body guitar in 1965 for a Ventures Mosrite with a sunburst finish. I foolishly sold the Mosrite to buy a new Gibson ES-335. We live and learn. Thanks for the memories.
