You are just adorable <3 I've been thinking about getting some Pince-nez myself; where did you order yours?

I like mine very much. Where did you get your frame?

Really nice once :D bought a pair today myself today :P

I love Pince-Nez I was heart broken when I was told my prescription was too thick to fit in the hard bridge frames I have, I took apart an old pair of glasses I had that had similar lenses and managed to fit them in the hard bridge frames, and I can sort of see!

Hi Mintzik, if you want lenses with your own prescription for the pince-nez, try ciliaryblue. They reglaze your glasses and their prices start at 15 GBP for two lenses. I have a some pince-nez with prescription lenses and two of my models did the catwalk in pince-nez near their own Rx during the opening of my exhibition "Ladies behind crystal veil". You can see them in one of my video clips on You Tube. Wishing you luck with your own pince-nez experiment!

Hey Strarocat1, I won a pair of astigs on eBay (from the UK, of course, you can't find astigs here in the States :P) I had them relensed, and wear them regularly. I too have a big wonky prescription, with astigmatism at over 8 diopters of cylinder in each eye, And they do live up to their purpose! And with a pair of bootie-style nosepads from QTE (had to order their largest, the plaquettes on my astigs are long at 19mm), they stay on like glue, even in the hot sun here.
yep :)

I've decided that you're the best person on youtube or perhaps even the internet in it's entirety, at least at this very moment.
I was interested to see if you have had them re-lensed. They don't look odd really, look good on you. I am looking for a pair of astigs in suitable condition to be relensed myself. They seem to be much more common in the UK than here in the USA, albeit about a hundred years out of style : ) And with my wonky eyes, I would need astigs instead of a spring bridge.

I haven't had these re-lensed yet - I'm working on loosening the rather stiff screws first and my current plan is to get my hard-bridged 'fingerpiece' pince-nez re-lensed with my prescription, being the set in best condition. For this set, should it be possible, I have some tinted, steampunky plans. :)
