@GarlandDrest I know, it was a typo.

In pieces like this Debussy was so visionary, so far ahead of his time. He was probably the most influential of all 20th century composers, especially in the field of jazz. And thank you Michelangeli!

@MarshalGZhukov 38 likes.... ANTI-fascist. He was a member of the anti-fascist italian partisan movement in WWII. The difference is between a war criminal and a war hero. Otherwise I agree with you all the way dude

@emerycgo In Debussy's score, the name of each prelude is given only at the end ... apparently to allow the listener to form his own ideas first. You can download the score from the International Music Score Library.

Was he a fascist??? All I know is that his playing is poetry for my ears...But really, was he a fascist, well if so, nobody is perfect.
-
@MarshalGZhukov and let's not forget that he was captured as POW and miraculously escaped, and what more? was a monk at the monastery at the same time, being an almost mythical figure even among great pianists.
-
He actually joined the anti-Fascist partisan movement.

La migliore versione in assoluto.

@Dandaphne80 Whoa, yeah. Typo.
Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli was a beast.
He flew fighter planes in the Italian Air Force during World War 2, was later a member of the fascist underground, then became a medical student, and in the meantime, he became one of THE greatest pianists ever.
Now that is even more badass than Clint Eastwood.
