Larry Hagman is a great man and actor, and I mean no disrespect to him whatsoever. But Pam is a big example of the incomprehendable character changes- can you imagine the Pam Ewing of 1978 exclaiming out in horror because she had spent an hour-and-a-half getting ready, and didn't want to get mussed-up? I don't think so! I realize that people change...but not to that degree...
I agree completely. From what I've heard, Hagman had far too much control, especially in decisions regarding which characters were kept and which were not.
Thank you. I think that having so many different directors, in the case of "Dallas", led to a lack of continuity visually. Also, the characters started to do things that really seemed outlandish and out-of-character. I'm pretty sure that Larry Hagman had the most control of the show, by the late 80's, and that was NOT the case early on. He's a great actor, but the later years were not the best, IMHO.
Wow the backdrop is the worst ever.

And Christopher is as hot headed, fiery, and short tempered as his father Bobby.

Of course John Ross cheated. He's the son of Satan himself, J.R. Ewing. Why is anyone surprised.

You can tell that this is filmed on a sound stage, because the pool is much smaller than the one at the real 'Southfork'

Exactly. The show definitely seemed to lose its way/roots, which was a big problem with the later years.
