Pop punk is still punk too. Look at the Queers, this band, ramones, Screeching Weasel, they were all melodic and sang about regular life. You just don't like melodic punk. Calling it pop-punk is stupid really. Would you call Bad Religion a pop punk band? What about NOFX or The Decendants? The Clash got really weird in the 80's. Are you going to hate on them too cause they had an eclectic taste in music?
