Shirley Shechtman is in her 80's and has spent most of her life at Hibbard Elementary School in Chicago. She was a student at Hibbard. She started teaching there in 1946. Today she still teaches special ed full time. This profile aired on the Chicago Tonight program on WTTW Chicago (PBS).

@bratzluv3r That's not bad for me at all, she's a nice woman, I just meant that she is so much a part of Hibbard that I wouldn't be surprised if when her time comes, her spirit decides to linger on there. The only woman I did however fantasize about pushing down the stairs was Mrs. Montrose, she was a horrible scary teacher, she made me hate going to school. I'm a teacher now too and I promised myself that I would never be like her by intimidating and scaring my students.
