Hey! I and some friends are also going to make this bot! I've ordered the SPTD Switches and the battery holder, and one of my friends is going to get some 1.5V motors :P
Can you give us any tips when building hte bot? :D
Yup, the hardest part was to mount the motor sideways. You will need some holder to make the angles symmetrical. I used bent brass plate as the holder while the glue had not sticked yet.
The second difficult part was the material for the wheel. Originally, I use plastic bearing for PCB mounting. But it was slipped all the time. So, I add cable shrink (some kind of rubber) to the wheel.
Anyway, don't worry too much about the details. Just do it and enjoy =)
