Lots of people seem to have trouble figuring out how to change the gear oil on their Roketa/SUNL/Wildfire/Bronc/etc. I don't blame them. The "instructions" that come with the scoot are nothing more than unclear pictures and "Engrish" captions.

Hopefully this will make the lightbulb go on for those of you out there with these bikes. Good luck, ride smart, wear a helmet, take care of your scoot.

  • @DaRidge69 No worries! Check out 49ccscoot dot c om. That forum is an awesome, awesome resource, with an entire subforum of tech tips and howto's.

  • jesus christ WTF kind of camera did you use?

i cant tell wtf im watching. get a camera worth more than 2 cents

  • @wasillissor First world problems.

  • thanks for the video. i just joined scooter forum and saw this cause i was searching around on meitian scooter info. how often exactly do you need to change the gear oil, i have 945 on mine right now. thanks in advance

  • ...recommended by the manual. But it made a world of difference. By the time I sold this poorly made scoot, it was actually in better condition than when I bought it and the engine was broke in very, very well.

In other words, if you already have on 945 miles, I would change it ASAP, especially if this is your first change. When the engine is younger, you want to be extra good to it.

I'm assuming it doesn't still have the oil it came with from factory. That stuff is BAD.

  • @daWhiteRabit haha no shit what a big peepeesucker he is.

  • @idc1233333 I know this post is 2 years old, but be SURE that's miles...because If you bought a scooter like this new like I did, and yours is Chinese like mine is, then everything will be in kilometers. So in a case like this, if you REALLY have 945 miles on your scoot, then the odometer reading should show very close to 1520.

  • Just read the description and it brought something to my attention. For laughs, in case you mess up on any gear oil or motor oil changes, here's what my owner's manual shows: (In perfect Chenglish)

When your motorcycle is out of order, please send it to service team, we are sure you will be satisfied.

  • What type of scooter do you have! (Whats the name of it) i have the exact same moped in blue but dont know anything about it! I dont even have license plates nor a tittle! And also where can i buy parts for it! Please help! (the creator of this awesome vid)

  • my moped has no gears... should i still do this? it's a jmstar '09 model if anyone can help me. also i have no idea where to drain my engine oil from...

  • @lauriejennifer I saw that addy across someone else's vid too. Guess I'll have to go check it out!! They eat you alive here for parts in Vegas 15 BUX for a tail light BULB from my dealer! Then I found scrappy dog. They're based here and their prices are awesome!

  • P.S. I ride a tao tao 50cc gonna learn to bore out the engine. But baby steps first right? Ridin' Chix RAWK!! Keep up the good work!

  • @wasillissor WTF, go die and stop being a moronic dick, maybe you should say, Hey, I'm a fucking idiot and thankyou for showing me how to change my oil"
