Nader answers a question about hemp shortly before the 2004 election. There were a fair number of cameras on him. I wonder how many television stations aired this question and answer fully.

  • And pardon the vote. It was a gut reaction to an old vid using a politician to support a business decision. It made sense to discourage such poor offerings.

Otherwise, I have great respect for anyone as diligent and single-minded as you have been over the years. Take care, Dr.

  • @Goohuman - Gosh, Greg, just when I was contemplating giving up on you, you encourage me. Thanks.

As for Nader, he's not a corporate politician who's ever held public office.

  • I'm going to start calling you Dr. Pot.

You are killing me with the 7 yr old vids.

  • @Goohuman - Well, Greg, it's not about "Pot," and it's still applicable today. I've given you yet another source regarding hemp. How can you blow all of this off in good conscience?

  • @DrKenHildebrandt If you are trying to convince me that hemp can replace oil, or anything else for that matter, then all you have to do is show me the science. Politicians are definitely not going to convince me. All they ever do is try to convince you to vote for them.

    Show me the science.

  • @Goohuman - Let's start with "or anything else for that matter." See Popular Mechanics, February 1938. As for fuel, go argue with Jack Herer's site, as stated. And thanks for voting the video down, Greg.

  • @DrKenHildebrandt Thank you, sir. I've been looking for an article that made the case for hemp that wasn't just a hack job by pro-pot lobbyists. The 1938 Pop Mech article makes a valid case for hemp.

The only problem is it was written before nylon. Nylon, rayon and other artificial fibers perform much better than hemp fiber and are cheaper to produce. It seems that the "5000 products" it mentions were all related to the fiber.

    Anything more recent or relevant?
