@lukedonaldfan20 of course. By not clearing ur hips, they're in the way preventing ur arms from swinging around u. Instead they swing away from u; pushing/slicing the ball.

@beniswow sure he is. Right as his hands reach hip level on downswing, the club is perfectly on the same line he had at address.

Sergio is not laid off at all.He is right on the money. If he were to continue his backswing the club would be pointing parallel to the target line.
