  • In the late 80's and early 90's I thought Leech was going to be one of the great ones. He was bnetter in Rigoletto than anyone of his time.He had a wonderful sound - almost like Bjorling - but then he seemed to lose something. The voice developed a wobble and seemed to lose support. I have no idea what happended, but I miss him.

  • I loved Malfitano in the french repertoire, her Juliet,Marguerite in Faust, Antonia in Hoffman, etc were wonderful I feel that she pushed her voice too far singing heavy roles that did not suit her and her sound suffered as a result. Leech also lost much of the beauty in his voice for the same reason. 2 essentially lyric voices wanting to be bigger and darker than nature intended. They were good singers with beautiful instruments that were damaged.

  • I think he is so sexy....I would love to be his Butterfly just so he makes love to me at the end of the duet onstage.

  • BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVI!

  • Why did he take the shirt off? Is he hot? Or, is she about to make the laudry for him? Hmmn... Can't figure it out.

  • No DVD yet. The opera world doesn't like to give too many American tenors credit for great works.

  • what production is this?

  • It must be released on DVD, because it is simply GREAT! Bravi!

  • El, maravilloso, ella actua muy bien, pero falta que su canto sea mas "japones" y creible.

  • This is wonderful! Must say I am more used and prefer Malfitano in the French repertoire. Very touching here 2:35 is glorious. Passionate, reserved and intelligent in character portal. A performance to die for :]. However, I always tend to think of La Tebaldi & Bergonzi when I hear Butterfly. Thanks for this Mr. Onegin ;). Kind and warm regards. Always!
