  • Oh no! I didn't know that.

  • Charismatic and Chris... I love you both, rest in peace Chris, you are not forgotten.

  • Chris--wow. I can't believe the guts it must have taken to sit down in the middle of a racetrack of thundering horses to guard an agonized horse's leg. I can come up with four different ways to get killed doing that just off the top of my head.

  • @hcyvonne1 Stupid sh**. He's still very alive.

  • Love you Chris. Wish you'd been kinder to yourself, you deserved the world.

  • @hcyvonne1 @yahuzs Charismatic is alive.

  • those two were perfect for each other

  • @hcyvonne1 As of Jan. 2011, both Charismatic and War Emblem are still standing at stud in Japan. "Old Friends," an organization set up to care for retired racehorses after Ferdinand's horrible end was brought to light, is monitoring the horses' status and has been in communication with the farm where they are located. Both Charismatic and War Emblem will return to the States upon retirement and be sent to Old Friends, to live their remaining years in peace and loving care.

  • So often those who suffer at the hands of the same demons that haunted Chris have the absolute biggest hearts.

  • @layton056 You shpuld be very proud of your uncle. What he did on that day took a helluva lot of courage and selflessness.I often bring this up when trying to explain the need to put what is right before all else. Even in the face of true danger. On that day, at that moment, Chris Antley personified it. God Bless you Chris

  • @ridingxruffian That takes monumental compassion. If more people were like that, the world would be a better place

  • At least Charismatic is still alive thanks to Chris

  • "He wasn't able to give the people what they wanted today."

IMO,I say screw the people, screw the Triple Crown. When something like that happens, NOTHING else matters except that horses life. Its awful watching an animal get put down. This jockey is awesome for doing what he did afterwards. Like he said, that horse evidently ran his ass off it wasn't like he gave up in the end. Those horses never do.
