Oh dear, the interviewer is appalling.
Such accomplished artists desreve the respect of an intelligent interviewer who has at least received a briefing.

Let's compare: Kate & Anna-- simple, modest, intellectual poet/composers; Tina Turner--a high octane rock legend who survived abuse and adopted spirituality.
i'd say they're both magnificent in totally different ways. What was this interviewer's point? Would she ask Tina Turner why she's not singing plaintive folk songs to piano accompaniment? I think this woman needs diversity training. Or at least a good dose of taste.

Intriguing that the interviewer doesn't seem to think they're "stars" like unnamed others. Well - maybe not like them (whoever they are - Tina Turner?) - but for plenty of us they're immortals, stars, greats, by any standard.

jarabaa, yes, i agree, they are immortals, greats, treasures. The interviewer, I'm pretty sure is quite aware of Kate & Anna's calibre, reputation, but maybe takes the typical low-key Canadian approach. The star system is canada is thankfully very different to that of the States. I wish they'd release another album, it's been quite long enough!
