I think Santana thanked the opportunity to develop himself in America however musically he is a mix of US and Latin American music so his Mexican and LatinAmerican heritage is also important

Carlos is great but you have to get use to his way of speaking. His is speaking in metaphors / pictures and as it is quite evident Carlos is very spiritual and religious.
