Under Lisbon: Citizenship of a New Federal State

The Lisbon Treaty would make us citizens of a new federal state called the European Union. It is a legally new union, a federal state, for the first time. We would be real citizens of this new entity for the first time, with real rights and duties superior to our national citizenship. This is being brought in by deception and you are not being told the full implications of the changes proposed in the treaty.

By the way we are already all legally citizens of the European Union. Thats a good thing, An EU citizen is entitled to many rights in other member states and an EU citizen may seek refuge in any European Union embassy around the world if needed.

You haven't been paying attention, you are not a real citizen of the EU because the EU is not a real Union and citizenship is notional. Furthermore if Lisbon is passed you will be a real citizen and it will be superior to your national citizenship, with your rights determined by the ECJ.
