C - 2008 CFV Tecolutla, Veracruz MX - Return to VIDA MILENARIA

This year when we returned to Tecolutla and VIDA MILENARIA, Sr Manzano took us on a release far up beach. These hatchlings are the species Tortuga Lora, or Kemp's ridley. This is the most endangered sea turtle in the world. Through his facility, VIDA MILENARIA, Sr Manzano is able to protect nests and develop new procedures that improve emergence odds. He and his staff also work daily to educate every possible person about this very unique species which is a world-traveller, but is also still indigenous only to the US and MX.
