Cheyenne, Wyoming roundhouse and turntable , 8444 being put away after a run to Torrington Wyoming. One of many trips we made chasing trains in the 1980's.

  • this was back when #844 was a passenger locomotive and before Steam Shop placed the cars on the turntable.

  • yeah back in the days of steam when the 3900s came to the railroad, they only extended the freight house portion of the roundhouse. of course that section is gone now. the 844 can fit in the roundhouse, they just dont put it in there anymore

  • yeah they store her AND the 3985 in the backshop building i thought
