Voice-over specialist Chuck McCann was great in this 1971 Right Guard ad, which was the first of the "Hi Guy" ads. They released a funny sequel in 1978.
Yes, he was great. I never fully made the connection on all the roles played by Chuck McCann. He was "Tinker Jones" in a memorable episode of "Little House on The Prarie." I, also, recognized him in a non-speaking, uncredited bit part in "1776" starring William Daniels. I just learned that he had a children's puppet show for years and was the actor in this infamous commercial. A long and varied career for Mr. McCann. Best Wishes to him.
As lovingly copied by Jay Sherman (Jon Lovitz) on at least 1 episode of The Critic.
Fantastic!

Do remember. Good ad. Could still work today, Comedy Central style. Love advertising. Wish I'd gone that route as a career.
