  • "nice try"... hmmm.... let's see... fewer classical radio stations, fewer meaningful classical recordings (just google it for references); doesn't that translate to fewer jobs for professional classical musicians? Yet here are these youngsters, not prodigies perhaps, but kids who love this music enough to pull off a very nice performance and all you can say is "nice try?" I say lovely job, a pleasure to listen to, and you sir, may take a long run off a short pier.

  • Idiots that consistently refer to works by classical composers as "songs" immediately grind to a credibility halt.

Songs require lyrics - you turkey!

And yes....I think this is a perfectly acceptable reading of it, although dynamics could use a little closer attention.

  • @HURLEYP - Mendelssohn wrote several "Songs Without Words".

  • @krazykesser ok....and?.....im pretty sure more than half the people wanted to listen and watch this be performed...not have somebody state something personal about a singular being in the video

  • Excellent interpretation! I adore hearing a wonderful performance of Mendelssohn any chance I get!!! Congratulations to you all!

  • As someone who is familiar with SSMF... I can tell you that they only had four 1 hour rehearsals to put this together. So you can point out all you want that this could use additional coaching, Not polished enough, etc... but for the amount of time available from also playing in a second chamber group, orchestra, master classes and lesson material... it sounds pretty good.

  • thats sound really good

  • its all too loud.. no dynamics

  • That first cellist needs to learn when to back off and blend versus being the soloist.

  • I know the girl violinist (Raquel Villagra). She has a serious superiority complex and is one of the most socially awkward people I have ever met.

  • Your quite an arrogant prick (tarantellaonline), you realize. Excellent performance, the passion shows. Not prodigious, yet still masterful.
