  • Sean special gift is that he's a nice guy who oozes excitement.

  • Yeah really goes for it and plays incredible licks. This guy is the real deal. Outstanding talent and his temperament seems to be let's have fun and see what happens ... more posts of Sean!!!

  • Sean Jones is da bomb.

  • tho chi si vede il Sorrentino ed il maestro Iodice

  • He's fucking great! He plays the trumpet with so much ease...

  • LadyMiles08 is stuuuuupid. There is no flash--Doc Severenson had flash. And all her wonder-folks, luminaries no doubt, are dead long before the jazz musician could barely survive on tips, which is still the case, by the way. Yes, there are folks around who are approaching luminary status, but they'd better hurry up and do it. I think Sean Jones is remarkable, and he's young and fluent and expressive. When Miles was young, they said he played "mouse trumpet." You forget, Ms Miles.

  • On second thought he does have a frighteningly rare talent to manipulate....

  • I have seen him play live and he is quite extraordinary...A rare example of him addressing an audience ? I would say not. There are ALOT of cats out there right now who aren't getting the same exposure....Like Maurice Brown and Corey Wilkes. Christian Scott has passion for days and of course Roy Hargrove is amazing. For a player to have substance he must also be a person of substance as well, but that's a different conversation totally, lol.

  • @LadyMiles08 Have you ever seen Sean live or actually played with him? It FEELS good. Sure, it's hard to say that he's completely grown beyond his influences, but that doesn't deny a musician his substance. If anything that's what substance is built upon. Sean understands one of the most important things as a musician: how to treat, build, and respond to a moment. We can expect enormous things from him in the future. He is a rare example of a jazz player who actually ADRESSES his audience.

  • If flash without substance is what you call the greatest improver in the world then indeed please build an alter to the god you call Mr. Jones. All he did was throw scale patterns in between Clifford Brown licks. And what you call soul are just strategically placed blues licks. Some of ya'll young kats are being fed bs but your mouth's can't tell because it still has milk in it. This Pootie Tang improving, lol. Listen to the masters like Woody Shaw or Freddie Hubbard...this kat doesn't come close
