Judy Bonds, the woman who was slapped, was a local.

i bet the tree huggers dont stop at any local gas stations in coal country while visiting.

... it's these 'protesters' "bosses!" They ARE Nazis: These bums(the bosses-not the followers) are/were taught in college and at rallies & meetings [originally] starting back in the 50's & 60's then on- they follow a foreign agenda: The 'Eurasian Socialist Party'- To destroy YOUR U.S.'s Constitutions' Bill of Rights, this nations'- YOUR economy, the American trades-craftsman & industry- + [YOUR] jobs along w/them. It's NOT a matter of "greed"- This is a continuation OF WW2! thru Nazi "legalism!'

..."protesters" my Celtic arse! Their actions may threaten a 'coaler' who just [may] be "greedy"- which is beside the point... By affecting the flow of this coal solely for the 'lust-of-their-eyes,' these "protesters" are threatening the survival and security of ALL our families.
Whether or not some 'pretty' hills are shorn for the NEEDS of heat(some directly/some indirectly for OUR families to SURVIVE the bitter freeze of WINTER and RELIABLE source of electricity to make SAFE the NIGHT!

They say their "just against MTR", but that's not the case, their out for UG also. We just wish they would go back to their own state and find something to bitch about. And why are we so angry at these "activists"? Because their trying to take our way of life, our heritage, and our jobs. Again, LEAVE US ALONE!!!

Why are these townspeople so angry at these activists? Their actions benefit their health, and they aren't against coal just mountain removal. It's the huge energy companies that don't give a rats ass about its employees

@SUPERHIPPIESLAYER you are disgusting, hateful and ignorant. comments like these are not conducive to dialog or conversation about the issues. I don't care you if you're a miner or an activist, it is plain to see the writing on the wall for coal and MTR has no future. Judy Bonds was a GREAT lady, a passionate, caring woman who CAME from a mining family but like many of us around the country knew the difference between right and wrong. She called it as she saw it and stood up to fight injustice

@YamixChan you want a cookie? i hope your not as ignorant as your kinfolk.

@kimmypett wow hillbilly you sure sound like you like the penis.I hate cops and I hate bullies like you and all you represent. So you can continue to sit behind your 8 year old computer and babble on like a hot bag of air that you are. You're wasting your own time and are too stupid to realize that you are the butt of a national joke. People like you serve humanity as pure entertainment. It's fun to watch you get your panties in a twist. Oh yeah, tell your wife/sister her twat smells bad !!!
The fact that the protesters were trespassing and getting arrested is irrelevant. The reason activists have chosen to get arrested throughout history is because they see the current set up as unjust.
As Thoreau puts it,
Under a government which imprisons unjustly, the true place for a just man is also a prison.

Responding to non-violent protesters with violence should not be condoned. But protesters cannot be surprised when those impacted by their actions express opposition. They're not Neanderthals (as described below). They're miners, taxpayers and RESIDENTS. For months, non-resident protesters have unfairly edited video footage, manipulated the press, and risked lives and wasted WV police and court resources by trespassing. To attack livelihoods and expect no opposition is disingenuous.
