yeah it is odd i know but it allows the most movement around the joints.
when you watch the nba, old school they wore short shorts (smart). now you have athletes that wear long shorts, which restricts movement. kinda dumb if you ask me.
i would take performance over cosmetics any day.

It gives them more mobility and they are not extremely short. I play, the shorts are above the knees but that's it. I think Timo is just wearing it like that in training to give him even more mobility becuase when table tennis players train they train for a while.
