How Steve Irwin chose to fund Pat O'Brien's kangaroo work

Pat O'Brien was alone in Queensland to speak out against unsustainable kangaroo killing. Steve Irwin heard about this and chose to fund Pat's work for life. This is a lovely story about two honest people sincerely motivated to save wildlife in Austraila. Kangaroos are especially important because they are at the top of the mamalian pyramid in Australia. If they are okay, so is everything else. I made these interviews because I want to highlight this kind of good work.

So many people feeding their personal self serving interests, to maintain their self image of themselves as good and kind and caring of in this instance, nature. Thus feeding their need for an internal "warm glow". This allows an interpretation of seemingly altruistic behavior as a selfish behavior concerned with deriving monetary and emotional payoff.
