what type of spring did you use? did you have some trial and error before you perfected it? im encouraged to do one for myself, hope u dont mind,, thanks for sharing.

@velocity800 Don't mind at all. I used a tension spring (AKA extension spring) from an old VCR originally, but it broke. So I tried a bigger one but it eventually broke as well. So I ended up changing to a compression spring which has worked perfectly and trouble free. Not sure what it was out of though, just found it in my shed. All of my sculptures require a certain amount of trial and error, it's part of the construction process. Good luck with your own project, enjoy :)
