Jet engine, Concept drawing.

Just a very very quick drawing and "animation" of a type of gas turbine engine I thought of.

Meant for myself and for friends.

If you were looking for something fancy, I'm afraid this is not what you're looking for.

I think it will backflow, the area of the compressor is HUGE compared to the turbine outlet.

combustor does not have enough time to properly heat the compressed air.

i thought of this too, but it proves to be innefficient

Even though this 'design' is far from finished, you may have a valid point.

Inefficient, so, it would work, but all the fuel you'd put in would be out of proportion with the smallish amount of thrust you gain.

All theoretically speaking right?

You certainly do have completed the correct education for this stuff! I'm only in my first year of a university, this drawing is from high school =)

thewebmaster is correct, your turbine outlet should be wider by at least 10% of the intake. Your combustion chamber is also doesn't look big enough to decompress the pressure enough for any material to combust, I suggest widening the ring forwardly, possibly bell curved so that the intake air can be heated a little by the combustion ring chamber. I suggest also doing a slit bar between intake and exhaust fins inside the chamber to help from backfire.
