  • Cute video, well done I suppose, but nothing like silents. Too be honest i think most silent film makers would have been insulted by this 'authentic' presentation of their art. And the use of Wainwright's recording is obviously nonsensical- silent films generally did not have singers in their background music, and even if they did, it would not sound like an old recording.

  • @bobbobato.

Ah, just as pleasant as we imagined you to be.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  • @bobbobato Oh and don't forget the 16:9 aspect ratio! That's not all that 'authentic' either, friend. It's almost like this is a modern interpretation of an old art form....

    strange, i know.

  • This is great! Very well done!

  • thanks a million!

  • Man...if they still made movies like this, then I'd be really, really happy.

  • I'm trying to find my niche' in making modern homages to silent and vintage film. We're making another one as we speak called The Death of the Matinee Idol. There's a teaser trailer on here we did a while back.

  • This is the most charming and well done vid on this web site.

The humor, the acting, the cinematography are all brilliant. It is also very imaginative. Five stars, folks. *****

  • Beautiful :)

  • Alright, that was great, very well done.

  • Wonderful!!! I work in post production, so I actually know what DV and Final Cut are! LOL. Wish we were editing this awesome creative stuff instead of peddling 30 second tv commercials.

  • @bobbobato well i think its not about being authentic really, its more about what the artist himself invisioned which was old but new in a way with the black and white with this really catchy tune.

  • BRAVO!!!

  • love this video! I posted it on my facebook page and my friends love it too! Great job! Awesome!!!
