From a Muslim brother, thank you to the Christian brothers/sisters for this video

@BTNH24 No, his argument doesn't prove Biblical Christianity per se but it is consistent with it. No theism (or a subset of theism, namely Christianity), then there is not ultimate meaning and purpose to life. What you're doing is attributing a position to Craig that he doesn't hold to. You're knocking down a straw man. I don't see why he should deal with Buddhism when his video here is about Western atheism and the futility of life. Nietzche would agree with Craig's sentiments here.

One thing we all know individually, is that love of sin makes atheism "true."

@pcgamer010 This thing about religious people thinking that atheists don't have a view of what's good or bad, or think that atheists can't see a meaning in their lives, is probably most prevalent in religious societies like the USA or Saudi Arabia. Over here (Europe), people discuss right vs wrong, the interesting fact that matter in the universe has become intelligent (in the form of biological life) and can inquire into its own history, etc, without bringing theism into it.

Why do people always need an 'ultimate meaning and value' to life? Is it not enough to live it and enjoy it day by day? Maybe it's ultimately meaningless, but so what? What does that change on a practical level?
You're still better off being humble and happy than living a life of misery. You're still better off appreciating you're even living in the first place, pursuing your passions and working hard to reach your goals and aspirations.
Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know.

Hmm... Although I read "Crime and Punishment" 2 years ago, when I was 16, I never really tried to look at it that way. Perhaps it was too early for me to read it. Thank you.

If the New Testament didn't exist then you would have a point, but because it does, you don't.
The Old Testament people are NOT like us, they were more beasts than men.

Well done William!!!
Personally, I believe the ontological argument is a great evidence of the existence of a Personal, Intelligent and Moral Creator of the Universe. The fact that people take the time to hear this explanation's approach clearly shows the craving for answers to the humanity question WHY? Humanity needs that sense of belonging and I decided to give my Father the opportunity to do the best parenting in the world. I belong to HIM!!
Why does he always use Nietszhe? Nietszhe saw christianity as nihillistic itself, he wrote the anti-christ for Buddha's sake.

@Requiemxtoxinnocence LOL! So you think it's wrong to quote Nietszche when it comes to his views on life? Why is that a problem?

@drcraigvideos No quote him all you like, but I think he's arguing against himself when he brings up Nietszhe a guy who saw Craig's religion and conception of god as one of the worst ever. Not to mention when he goes on about " god is dead" he leaves off the ending where we re-evaluate where the foundation of our values come and overcome the nihilism of Christianity with the "will to power". It's dishonest to quote mine Nietszhe and not bring up his main point at the end.

@Requiemxtoxinnocence *SIGH* Look, do us a favor and drop the pop philosophy. Forget Google searches and Internet Infidels and the Post-moderns. Because you have Nietzsche all wrong. He didn't say that Christianity is nihilistic per se, he said the death of God (and by extension Christianity) brought forth a nihilistic lifestyle. Don't put words in Nietzsche's mouth. Craig is quoting him faithfully. And actually take the time to read Nietzsche. That helps.
