Political Correctality
Why do you feel I need to see
What you call political correctality?
What went wrong with dark or light?
Why can't we call them black as night?
Don't tell me that white is just Caucasian,
Or all Japanese are simply Asian.
African-American's the only way,
Even from nowhere near the Shiré.
And race is not all that's on the line,
PC tells how to bump and grind.
And tells me No, that's not a rhyme,
Even though I wrote it.
The big PC dares tell me
That I can't call you fat or short.
The persnickety are now avenged
With morbidly obese and vertically challenged.
There is, of course, a hope that Im
One of many who will not buy
Our government's polite-ical drivel:
They say free speech is now uncivil.
But fairly soon I think Ill find
I don't have the time or reason
To fight this every day
And season. Everything
Breaks down, late or soon.
Maybe I'll break too.
So tell me, JC,
Along with your parables,
Did you teach political correctality?
