Perhaps the most 'raw' and 'real' interview ever conducted, Black C explains the origins of RBL and what really happened way back in the beginning, to present, and fast forward to the future. Black C speaks on artists such as Rappin' 4 Tay, JT the Bigga Figga, E-40, Khayree, Big Lurch, and many more.
The Bay Area has boasted such pimps, players, and hustlers such as Too Short, E-40, MC Hammer, and Digital Underground. These artists have shaped the nation's cultural landscape over the years, influencing styles and attitudes. The Bay has trademarked a more jovial and playful vibe, but is by no means less intense than New York or Los Angeles. Bubbling beneath the surface are gifted lyricists and seasoned storytellers who champion the Bay Area underground. One of the most noteworthy and well loved is Ruthless By Law, better known amongst their fans following as RBL Posse, Black "C" and Mr. Cee.
RBL Posse (short for Ruthless by Law) was a 1990s gangsta rap group from Hunters Point in San Francisco, California.
Formed in 1991 by Black C (Christopher Matthews) and Mr. Cee (Kyle Church). Their first release, the self-produced "Don't Give Me No Bammer" came out on In-a-Minute Records and made the Billboard magazine Hot Rap Singles chart, peaking at #16. Two albums followed: A Lesson to Be Learned, which peaked at #60 on the Billboard magazine Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and Ruthless by Law, which surpassed their debut by making it to #23, also grazing the bottom of the The Billboard 200 at #197. In 1995 they produced a solo record by group member Hitman (Ricky Herd) called Solo Creep.
Their impressive sales for regional indie releases attracted interest from Atlantic Records subsidiary Big Beat, who signed the group. Before they could deliver an album, Mr. Cee was shot nine times and killed on New Year's Day in 1996.
Black C and Hitman filled the void created by Mr. Cee's absence with various producers, including Rick Rock and MC Eiht, and released An Eye for an Eye in 1997. The album peaked at #70 on The Billboard 200 chart and got as high as #14 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Another Hitman solo record was released in 1999 and in 2000, RBL Posse released a double album—Bootlegs and Bay Shit: The Resume. 2001's Hostile Takeover would prove to be the group's last album when, in 2003, Hitman was shot and killed while driving.
Then in 2001, RBL came back wit a vengeance hitting us with the fifth album (Hostile Takeover) that introduced The RightWay Malitia the next generation offspring of RBL with the hit "The Vapors". Formerly a "soldier" from the Harbor Road Block, Black "C" is now a full-time rapper, producer and label owner, working on a host of projects and also a Documentary based on RBL Posse.
Black C has continued to release solo albums and RBL Posse-related material.

hey jams i will tell you how it is, thats just how it goes man, black c was the gangsta of the group from the block doing what he had to in life in his position, mr cee was the lyerical guy he was not a gangster but that dont mean he wasent hard or a good guy following rules lol! in a way it was luck but it was mostly just how it was ganna be in this world, not many have sounds that pound so hard, ill get to the point shut your hating mouth lol
