  • Here's the actual situation - this particular E30 is a spec-class racer; it had a stock motor. The E36 had a mildly modified motor. The driver of the E30, Andrew N, had far more more experience than the driver of the more powerful, faster E36, Lou G, a very good but less experienced driver.

  • More actual situation... the black e36 pulled out of the the first t1 inside pass at 2:11 because of a yellow flag displayed at the turn station. Otherwise, no disputing Willdief's description.

  • @houdini69 The E30 and E36 are different in their driving characteristics, but preference to either is objective. You may prefer the E36, thats probably down to your driving style, and the way you like your cars to drive. Personally, I prefer the E30 because it compliments my driving style better. Neither car is a definitive 'better car' but the E30 naturally gives itself to better lap-times on a circuit.

  • i think houdini69 is the dumbest person i have ever met....first of all i own an e30 m3 and an e46 m3 and i have driven the e36 m3....the best by far is the e30 m3 because it is by far the most fun to drive due to outstanding handling..the reason why the e30 m3 is soo expensive is because it has won over 1000 races won...plus it holds the title as the "first m3" made plus it is the only production car that BMW made solely for racing.., there is no hype of an e30 m3...it deserves only credit...

  • Track is open year round...though there is the chance of a river running across 10 in the fall/winter...QuattroFest comes to mind...

  • Here we have a lovely example of why houdini69is an idiot. To suggest that this 4 minute clip proves anything other than you being a moron is obsurd. Maybe the e36 driver was on better tires, maybe the driver of the e30 was out late last night and was getting tired, maybe the e30 had a clutch that needed to be replaced. To many variables to make a claim like that.

  • here we have a lovely example of why the e30 isnt really better than an e36 around a track !!!! despite all the absolute bullshit that goes around like the " e30 is the best handling car ever " hmmmm is it now ??? i have driven both and i prefer the e36. the reason why in the uk that the e30 m3 costs more than the e36 is due to hype and bullshit, just like the mk1 golf gti vs the mk2 golf gti.......... the mk2 is a better car all round , end of story, same as the e36 m3 is better than e30 m3 !!!

  • looks like the black e36 got him at the end, great vid!

  • Hells props to both.

  • Damn it... I could hear stuff happening over there but I didn't see anyting about a race on the calendar. Yep open year round, and busy alot.

I was hoping Lou would make the pass going into 10. That's always exciting.
