Arthur nearly loses something important.
Also available on Vimeo.
This is a fanvid for the excellent HTV series "Arthur of the Britons", now available on DVD.

Oliver Tobias and Michael Gothard (sadly no longer with us) give fantastic performances in this muddy, dirty version of the King Arthur legend.

The stunts are breathtaking, and they did it all without stuntmen.

Please add this series to your collection.
This Mumford and Sons track is from the album - "Sigh No More."
Buy that too while you're about it!

  • Thank you kind Sir!

  • I wish I could afford to send a copy of the DVDs to everyone who wants one! Sadly, the production company - for reasons I cannot fathom - made it almost impossibly expensive to repeat the series. The cheapest you are likely to get them is around £15 if you can afford it, and hunt around. Thanks for watching anyway - I think my best ones so far are "A Raven" and "This Wave" if you are interested in watching more.

  • I think it may have, but it was made in the early 70s so unless you are as old as me, you probably didn't get a chance to see it. They showed it from Australia to South America, but most places, only once or twice. Available on DVD - well worth it, Bladestar7. Also I can link you to fanfic, if you are a slasher.

  • It isn't ... but why?

You don't like the music or you don't like the series?

  • Thank you very much for this excellent mini serie !

and especially for Michael Gothard !!!!

    SMILE

  • well done, this vid! 5*

  • Great video montage by the way. It fits the clips well.

  • @valtrepkos Whats's a slasher?

I find it interesting that they did a more realistic version of King Arthur so long ago. Because around that time the only Arthur people knew about was from Sir Thomas Mallory's version. Too bad it wasnt in syndication over here. I wouldve watched it.

  • Did this show ever air in the United States?

    Looks pretty good.

  • I would like the first chapter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
