i think they are starting to make amtrak trains faster cuz many people complain that they dont get to destinations on time

the amfleet cars are now 30 yrs old; they need to be replaced. Even the LIRR replaced their equally old cars.

Amtrak is the red-headed stepchild of US government funding. I hate to say it, but Republicans hate Amtrak because they think it is socialism, thus it will ne er get properly funded. And BTW, there isn't a passenger railroad on tis planet that isn't goberment subsidized, including Gemrany, France, and Japan.
