Old Business:
1. Discussion of FEMA mapping [New FEMA basis for mapping levees. Kalona has only 1 possible - in the Kreekside Subdivision but the Iowa Flood Center and the City Engineer both believe it is part of a detention basin and not a levee. Also, FEMA is scheduled to release a new flood map for Kalona at the end of this month, November 2011.]
2. A Avenue Bridge Project a. Change Order No. 1 -- add shut off points on both sides of twin box culvert and shut off on 3rd Street, increase $6,922.41 b. Change Order No. 2 -- improve sub-grade conditions -- modify sub-base, increase intake and grate to 24 in. rather than 18 in. -- remove rail road bridge abutments, for an increase of $15,893.07 c. Change Order No. 3 -- Standard or slip form pcc increased quantity to tie into sound concrete-granular backfill reduced to reflect actual quantities used -- sidewalk PC removal increased quantity to tie into sidewalk instead of steps -- driveway PC increased quantity to tie into existing properties -- Bagions reduced quantity in order to tie into existing grade properly on Southwest corner of culvert -- Foundation Treatment material used to treat sub-grade culvert footing, for a decrease of $5,355.60 Summary of change orders is a contract change with an increase, in the amount of $17,459.88.
3. Discussion of golf cart ordinance, if any.
