  • i think Jeff (cutlerylover) mentioned in a polishing video that the flitz is toxic or at least not human friendly, and because of this it shouldn't be applied to knives with the intent of food prep. EDC, survival knives, battoning all that jazz sure go ahead. but i would be careful! awesome video and take care

    Taken from the Flitz FAQ:

Is Flitz Safe To Use On Surfaces In Contact With Food?

Yes, Flitz Polsih is completely non-toxic. It has USDA approval to use on surfaces in a food preparation area. Flitz can be safely used on serving pieces, such as silverware, without any danger. After polishing, just wash the piece in warm soapy water and dry off as usual. The Flitz will not leave any flavor or smell behind.

  • Come on buddy!!!! More reviews!!! More vids!!!!!!!

  • Are you going to be making anymore vids. Kind regards

  • You sir have great taste in blades and music. The Shins playing in the background ;)

    I love that group!

  • @jumpthemap, where are you getting these great deals for these esees? Could you pass along a link?

  • If you want to keep the logo & text, you can etch it. Leave the knife(minus scales) in a bath of ferric sulfate for a couple of days. Rinse & gently brush now and then. I did this on my Junglas.

  • @nicknack171 While I like cutlerylover and his vids... he isn't always that accurate on his information.

  • @jumpthemap Yeah, im not trustfully of the USDA, cause they can hide something we don't want to know. Asbestos was a danger from 50's to 80's and the USDA knew the effects of asbestos, yet the USDA didn't come out with a report until people started getting cancer.

  • does it look like there's a dark spot or oil stain where the logo used to be?

  • I agree that the "tactical" is over rated on the civilian side, just as "technical" is over rated on the outdoor industry. Is just worst to appeal to a certain group of costumers.

But the only reason I like leaving the color in my knives, is that when they are all shinny like that, they remind me too much of a kitchen knife. I have a friend who is a chef, and I could get my knife confuse with his cooking knives. :D

That's just me. Nice work though! ;]
