Belchertown State School

Our first trip to the abandoned school. There are at least 30 buildings on the grounds but we only got into one of them (they were all completely boarded up). Some of the buildings had asbestos warnings so we had to be careful. We were trying to find the theatre but we didn't have any idea which building it was in. The sound I heard was definitely not a coyote, but it could've been an owl or Bryce doing something with his backpack (even though we tested everything we could and couldn't replicate the sound - it was like a loud shriek or howl). is this place still around and is it a hassle to get on the grounds I went to the hospital in hanson ma and it was a pain to get on the property

its still there, but i dont think its hassle-free. when i took this video i parked my car behind a snowbank so no one would see it. we pretty much arrived at dusk and tried to stay out of sight of the main road and the buildings near the school. you just have to be very cautious. i'm not sure if its still as easy, but you should give it a shot. its a cool place, even though we couldnt find a way into any of the buildings except the first one...

1-29-12 Me & a friend just spent an hour walking around the grounds - people were walking their dogs there, and we both parked right in front - I don't think the police give a crap. Two buildings, the power plant and one other, were enter-able.

@Gabeno4 asbestos dont harm u unless it is friable a lot of that shit is in active now..unless u stir it up too much..well thats what i got from the class i took on it...i could be talkin out my ass..its years of exposure that will catch up with you down the rd.

it is all pretty much inaccessible today and the police station is on the property where some buildings that got torn down were. BE CAREFUL!!! it is posted and they will arrest you if they catch you trespassing. Once again I cant stress enough the POLICE station is right next door.

looks like they were in the school building or something - if you park by the greenhouses and walk up the road the theater is the first building on your right - the roof is collapsed in now - you can legally walk on the roads out there (its used as a park now) but to go inside the buildings is where its considered trespassing

which building is this? I went there last night and we could only get into a house. we found a tunnel from the basement though which led to under the other buildings but we want to see a place like this.
