This is also the way that they used to dress up for movie premieres back then: the tuxes, the gowns, the jewels, the furs, the long white gloves, and so forth. Nowadays, they dress like slobs at the premieres. Even the men who go to the Oscars don't even wear a tie. They also wear a business suit instead of a traditional tux.

Funny but looking at this makes me think the Oscars were pretentious bullshit then and now. No one is finding the cure for cancer but they all think they are.

it is SO bad it's a masterpiece, but keep your viewing times curtailed--
