Aged just 21, Steven had his first exhibition at the Mauger Modern Art Gallery in Bath alongside Andy Warhol and Banksy making him the youngest British artist to appear with such big names. Rumours are Banksy attended the show! Critics are already calling him "The Father of Emo Art".
Steven Farmers style is inspired by the music of Nashville, Tennessee and the artwork of Basqiat, Keith Harring and Tim Burton. His work follows subjects from personal experiences, rebellion, Yu-Gi-Oh comics and Transformers.
He uses oil pastel and acrylic in his work and never uses black or grey-a subtle form of rebellion. "My themes are everyday stuff, relationships...the things that everyone goes through in life besides the war in Afghanistan".
