Trippy rock at it's finest. I did not make the song nor do I claim it as my work.

Lyrics:
Good sense, innocence, cripplin' and kind.
Dead kings, many things I can't define.
Oh Cajun spice, sweats and blushers your mind.
Incense and peppermints, the color of thyme.

Who cares what games we choose?
Little to win, but nothing to lose.

Incense and peppermints, meaningless nouns.
Turn on, tune in, turn your eyes around.
Look at yourself, look at yourself,
Yeah, yeah.
Look at yourself, look at yourself,
Yeah, yeah,
Yeah, yeah.

Tune-a by the cockeyed world in two.
Throw your pride to one side, It's the least you can do.
Beatniks and politics, nothing is new.
A yardstick for lunatics, one point of view.

Who cares what games we choose?
Little to win, but nothing to lose.

Good sense, innocence, crippled and kind.
Dead kings and many things I can't define.
Oh Cajun spice, sweats and blushers your mind.
Incense and peppermints, the color of thyme.

Who cares what games we choose?
Little to win, but nothing to lose.

Incense, peppermints, incense, peppermints.

  • I was reading the lyrics to this song, it means absolutely nothing. It`s just pure insanity which I guess may be what it`s about.

  • @JamesTKirkCobain

Do remember this was 1967-68. Happy, trippy insanity was a fairly popular subject at the time.

Wasn't this on Austin Powers? Says everything.

  • SAC on a 45 record player - is this not the perfect use of YouTube?

  • Incense And Peppermints - Strawberry Alarm Clock [Santa Barbara, California] - No.01 on 10/14/1967. 14 weeks Top 40 - "CLASSIC Rocker for the flower children." - Nuggets: Original Artyfacts From The First Psychedelic Era (Disc 2)-1998. NOTE: The first LP released by the band and the only LP of their career to make an impact on the album charts, it reached #1 nationally.

  • Thank you homer simpson for showing me this song lol

  • long life to the vinyl!

  • my stoning song

  • @JamesTKirkCobain I agree. Funny how I like a song, but am not sure of the lyrics. I look up the lyrics and am amazed that they make no sense whatsoever. And I don't just mean this song. It may be that one has to be high to fully understand the song?

  • @Omie789 it's also on the episode where lisa makes her own newspaper when skinner shows her the hand crancked copier

  • nice sound from the 60s. classic
