the battle of yarmouk was a major battle between the Muslim Arab forces of the Rashidun Caliphate and the armies of the East Roman-Byzantine Empire. The battle consisted of a series of engagements that lasted for six days in August 636, near the Yarmouk River, along what is today the border between Syria and Jordan, south-east of the Sea of Galilee. The result of the battle was a complete Muslim victory which permanently ended Byzantine rule south of Anatolia. The Battle of Yarmouk is regarded as one of the most decisive battles in military history,[5][6] and it marked the first great wave of Islamic conquests after the death of Muhammad, heralding the rapid advance of Islam into the then Christian Levant.
In order to check the Muslim advance and to recover lost territory, Emperor Heraclius had sent a massive expedition to the Levant in May 636. As the Byzantine army approached, the Muslims retreated from Syria and regrouped all their forces at the Yarmouk plains close to Arabia where, after being reinforced, they defeated the numerically superior Byzantine army. The battle is also considered to be one of Khalid ibn al-Walid's greatest military victories. It cemented his reputation as one of the great tacticians and cavalry commanders in history.[7]

  • @faisenteramint Go to Afghanistan then! I'm sure the US Marine Corps will be more than happy to help you give up all 4 quarters of your remaining life.

  • LOL Khalid Ibn Popeye.

I'll bet your typical ignorant Muslim jihadi-wannabe finds this an accurate account of warfare.

  • where is this clip taken from...?

    can anyone please tell..

    JZK

  • @iezhullmuyo forgive me. i didnt see the whole video clip through. the first part of the clip is The Battle of Ajnaydin a.k.a The Battle of Chains. the second part ARE The Battle of Al-Yarmouk on it's final day of the battle. too bad they didn't show Dhiraar Al-Azwar who is also one of Khalid's fearsome stalwart. he is also known as 'The Half Naked Champion' or 'The Naked Champion'.

  • @imonstermirul try to find a book titled "Sword of Allah - Khalid Bin Al-Waleed: One of the Greatest Military Generals in History" by A.I.Akram. i don't know if this would help you, and i hope you can find the book.

  • I'm from Malaysia and i would like to ask if there any website that i can watch the full length of the series?. i know the series titled "Khalid Al Waleed: Sayfullah Al Maslul" (i might misspelled it).

  • @mobinf Al Qa'qa is the 1 (one) man re-enforcement sent by Saydina Abu Bakr (r.a) to Khalid Al Waleed (r.a) when Khalid asked for re-enforcement from Medina. and i like to point out this is not The Battle of Al-Yarmouk. this is actually The Battle of Ajnaydin. where Khalid and the Muslim's army fought against Persian army. for The Battle of Al-Yarmouk, the Muslim army fought against the Roman-Byzantine army.
