Matt landing his Long EZ @ F22. Thanks to Jon for the excellent filming with a small, hand held point and shoot camera. Just wait until we take the video in HD with no window in the way!

  • Dallas to NO? That would be a going out for lunch in a Long EZ. "Stillwater Sailor" (see above), is the one to ask! I chided him for being off the centerline, but he's really a pretty good stick!

  • one class of people should not have to pay more than another class of people just for reason of having more. yes jet owners do need a tax break operating these units provides for other jobs that justify the loss of government revenue from those that already pay more than their tax burder dollar per dollar against the lower classes. 14th amendment equal protection under the law, this includes paying an equal dollar amount no matter what the income.

  • Looks like a Burt Rutan ..?

  • what about a jet version?

  • @phantom0482 The Long Ez and most of its canard cousins have a very flat glide/approach. If you want to steepen the decent and see over the nose, you deploy the speed brake.

  • they should install refueling stations across the north atlantic so small aircarft can cross the atlantic and that would solve the fuel/size issue without having to go via iceland and greeland. However i dont like the enviromental consequences of doing that for marine life. at the moment it is necessary to make aircrft large to carry the large amounts of fuel for long distance. if we can create electric aircraft that recharge themselves and glide we could do it in smaller airplanes

  • What is the approach speed...?

  • i have one question why were you applying the speed breaks while still in flight... wouldn't that create un needed stress on the panel? i was under the impression that is to be applied once contact to the ground is made and throttle is at idle.. i'd like to know if it is because of the high stall speed of the aircraft ? i'm curious because i have chosen to build this over the cozy... don't need the extra two seats

  • fantastic!

  • Wicked clean landing, great job on the camera and what a beautifull airplane!

  • Fantastic fliming! Was it hard to fly chase like that?
