When I bought tickets to see Alvin Lee open for Sabbath(of all bands)at the old Montreal Forum on Fri.Nov.20 '81,I didn't find out till 2 hours before the show that Mick Taylor was going to join him on stage.I freaked.Absolutely blew Sab off the stage. The crowd was wild.Great to hear something that was recorded only 9 days prior.

@007zz OK, for sure ! You are right. The point is that I consider John M. L in other level (that is too good to be compared, he is out of any comparison). I was taken into account Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, etc. . Just humans. John M. L. can´t be human !

Nope, that was John McLaughlin by far.. I like Alvin a lot though.
Alvin Lee was the fastest guitarist during the late 60s and early 70s. Very underrated
by the media who was focusing only in Clapton, Page, etc.
Good posting !

Alvin Lee, Leo Lyons Chick Churchill. Ric Lee WERE THE BEST LIVE BAND in the late 60's early 70's...I loved seeing these guys play..A rough estimate is, I saw them 40 times in and around Los Angeles and San Diego...Alvin is one of the best...Those guys put on an incredible show...Only Pink Floyd was/is better in concert...Rock On
