@papan1990 just a bit defensive considering most comments here are bashing americans. not all of us are bad. it's not like we touch and go. just toilet paper, front to back, and however many swipes it takes until it's completely clean.

We here on the other hand, use bidets or sprayers instead of toilet papers. Don't be sorry.....what you said was your opinion. And I was just asking.

I think most Americans just see it as something they've never seen in their lives, so it's a new strange thing. Of course, without thinking before speaking, some people make casual comments about how weird it is and they might even say they hate it. I'm American, and yes, I use toilet paper. I've never even seen a bidet in person and therefore have never used one. I would probably try it. It's just about what you're comfortable with, or what you grew up with.
