During the spring of last year I heard a scary tale from a friend about a local business that had hired her. She was enticed by a high rate of pay with flexible hours for school.
I did some investigating and found a lot of disgruntled employees of a networking business called Vector Marketing.
Vector Marketing is in charge of the sales of a American made high end knife and although there has been a lot of trash talking of Vector Marketing by disgruntled employees Vector has done nothing illegal nor is it a scam. But a lot of applicants have called ethical fouls in terms of there recruiting and hiring techniques.
Many claim to be mislead about the specifics about the job until the last day of training.
I am publishing these interviews in effort to educate other young applicants will be informed about the job they are applying for. All interviews were done in Oregon, so it does not cover a national trend. I am protected by the American Freedom of Speech Act. Not all interviews are negative. If you are in Oregon and would like to be interviewed please contact me.

  • THIS VIDEO MAKES ME SO MAD!! i HAVE WORKED FOR VECTOR FOR ALMOST 5 MONTHS NOW AND I LOVE THE COMPANY. YOU NEVER GIVE YOUR NAMES LIST TO ANYONE AND HAND IT IN. THIS LADY IS LYING TO YOU! YOU WRITE THE NAMES LIST SO THAT YOU CAN CALL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS, SET APPOINTMENTS WITH THEM, AND SELL THEM CUTCO. THIS COMPANY IS A GREAT COMPANY FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO FURTHER THEMSELVES AND GAIN EXPERIENCE. YOU ONLY NEED TO SELL 1000 TO BE AT 15% 3000 TO BE AT 20% AND 10000 TO BE AT 30%

  • @alyhad09 So why if you are an independent contractor does your "manager" get any percentage? You need to understand all the unethical practices Vector gets away with. Compare your job as an independent contractor who has to pay taxes later to that of Avon. You have no need of a manager and you should get your knives directly from the manufacturer.

  • i tried Vector Marketing for one month i made 45 bucks my first week and after that i made 5 sales and sold 5 sets...it IS NOT a scam, u can be successful at it if you truly drive for it and bust your ass but they expect ALOT out of their "employees" they monitor ur every move from the moment u wake up to the moment you go to sleep..if im making you a 3000 dollar profit and only making 10% of that i deserve better treatment thats the only problem i had was the over supervision they slapt me with

  • @templarmoney1 Do you understand that as an independent contractor they had no rights over anything you did? They had no right to call you early in the morning or late at night. An actual employer that pays taxes for social security and workmen comp can have that power over you. No Vector tricked you into having their cake and eating it too by not hiring you as an employee they saved themselves tax revenue but then rode you worse than any other real job-honestly because you fell for it.

  • I had a somewhat similar experience. I got the job went into one day of training. They told us we needed to have the money for the sample knife set the VERY NEXT DAY OF TRAINING! Which was $150!!!! They make their money off of their employees! I called the office that night and told them that I was declining the job offer. He said some fake BS like "I don't wanna see you give up on yourself" or "I disappointed in and for you" that's how they try to reel you back in. They are LIARS and SWINDLERS.

  • and who are you? iv dealt with this incestuous shit company. and i know what it takes to become successful with these people. and personally i think crackwhores have more dignity than these people.

  • Vector Is not a Scam , But it is The pyrimid Sceam

Cutco Sells its Self , But Vectors a Bunch of Assholes

Straight up i love Cutco, but i Hate Vector Why is This ,

Because The Way Vector Markets Their Cutco

Is they Tell you Your Going to Peoples Houses That are already interested in the product

When really the Reason Why their interested is becuase there your friends and family wanna beat the Fuck outta My boss

  • @alyhad09 Hey, I just wsat training yesterday and they did want you to write down all your friends and families numbers and hand them to the manager, everyone did but me

  • @hickkid1 yea i would have to sell like 10,000 to get 15%...i make on average 150 bucks a day thats like the average sale if i was selling cutco...and i would only make about 15 bucks out of that...i leave with 100 bucks cash daily! i dont need to wait for a check and i dont have to sell 1000 dollars to get it...id rather work 10 hours a day like ive been than only work 2 hours a day...i enjoy work! work is fulfilling sales didnt do it for me, a 5pm to 3am does! and thats where im staying

  • @templarmoney1 If you think they only promised 10% you didn't listen during the interview. During the interview they explain that as you sell more you make more. I make 30%, and a girl in my office is an fsm making 50%. Driving a pizza car doesn't give you sales experience, you are just the delivery boy, and I'll but you had to work way harder than I did to make your money.

  • @hickkid1 i was promised 10% and im not doing all the work and getting a minimal fraction of the reward...its a rip off, some people can be successful at it it all depends on who your selling to, i live in a poor neighborhood so no one bought shit from me, and i make 2000 a month delivering pizzas. i get paid to drive, listen to music and meet new people, i get phone experience, sales experience and people experience i make about 11 bucks an our and 17% commission thats MORE than vector promised

  • @hickkid1 I think there is something wrong with you...i have those knives at my house too~ they don't really stay sharp that long......Anyway....i just saw them at my school..today...i need to talk to some authority about this

  • @sumiji888 My aunt has had Cutco since the fifties and uses it everyday. If you can't believe in that product somethings wrong with you.

  • @wharsmypancakeshoe three grand buys you three sets of knives and usually at least a hundred dollars of free product is given away. Also the knives have free replacement if they break and free sharpening. Forever.
