You remembered "Get Off" but don't forget "Cream"(I think that was his last No.1 hit), "Diamonds & Pearls"(A top 5 hit), "Insatiable"(a Top 10 R&B hit & a standard quiet storm jam), "Money Don't Matter Tonight"(a overlook track/video directed by Spike Lee), "Strolling" & "Willing & Able" are good tracks too. Don't sell "D&P" short.
@blachubear D&P was incredibly hit or miss. It had Gett Off, that was about it. Then again, the Hits has it too, so putting it up there with Lovesexy is a stretch for me. I've listened to Diamonds' countless times and I still can't remember any of the songs besides Thunder, the title track, Gett Off, and Daddy Pop. I'm trying hard to forget Jughead.
After Lovesexy, Prince was over. O(+>, the Gold Experience, Emancipation, and 20Ten have let him pop up above the surface, but Lovesexy was the finale to the real Prince. He grew up after that.
Love Sexy, was a great album..but like all Prince's Albums..he wasn't always pushing the commercial factor of it...Thats ok because then his true hardcore fans wasn't expecting it..He made hit albums..one day alot of people will look back at his body of work and find some amazing gems ..
naw man, that dude talkin down lovesexy as another "around the world..." he's nuts!! That album was and STILL is JAMMIN!!!! From start to finish, every track is great
lovesexy tour was the best show ever. The album is a masterpiece. not commercial at all...
