OBAMA, VINTON CERF AND THE CONTEMPORARY ARTIST FRED FOREST

Vinton Cerf, the founder of Internet who might be designated as Obama's Chief Technology Officer has shown much interest in the use of Internet for artistic purposes.

As he appreciates the talent and inventiveness of the artists Fred Forest and Sophie Lavaud, he came specially in March 1999 from the USA to France to be witness to the world first Internet marriage of these two artists. The wedding was performed by the Mayor André Santini at the Issy-les-Moulineaux City Hall.

Vinton Cerf and Fred Forest met in 1997 at the yearly new information technologies Event in Autrans, France. Vinton Cerf has since been following the pioneer work of the artist who began in 1994 to use Internet as a creative media.
