@Petervenkman235 hell I'd still do her right where she's standing

It's too bad they picked the most unattractive one to strip.

This didn't inspire sh*T. The only thing that is coincidental is the whipping her clothes off, and I'm sure it's been done a few times.
Devo never saw this until recently, and the similarities are minor.
Why are you lying, and say this "inspired" them??
Do you just make stuff up, instead of telling the truth?

Whip it! Whip it good! You must whip it!

LOL

In case you don't know, mark m. was reading in a magazine one day and read about a guy that owned a ranch and would put on a show where he would take off his wife's clothes that were secured with velcro. That guy may have been inspired by this video, however.

Swap that accordian for a key-tar and it's DEVO!

There's no way someone involved in the making of Devo's video couldn't have seen this before "Whip It".

Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo said years ago that Whip It was in response to all of the 'self-help' books that were dominating the market back then, books on how to oversome obstacles and succeed in life. Making a music video with that aim would have been impossible without dialogue, so I'm betting that's why they used the whole bullwhip thing instead. It's a memorable visual as opposed to trying to portray someone struggling internally with failure, and the need to prevail over it.

I wish picking up girls was that easy. go down the row till one lifts her skirt, the you're off to the races.
